Wonderful book about a young woman with a single vision: to share the love of God to the people in India. If this woman's life story doesn't inspire a person to follow their heart's calling, then nothing will.

An intriguing, well researched biography from a noted author. How one woman knew God's call and didn't let anything stand in her way to answer that call.

From the rear cover: "A CHANCE TO DIE is the life story of Amy Carmichael, an Irish missionary who spent 53 years in South India, without a furlough. She founded the Dohnavur Fellowship, a refuge for children in moral danger. Elisabeth Elliot brings 'Amma' to life, providing a compelling unforgettable story that will provoke you to examine the depths of your own commitment to Christ."
