I have a newish true crime book and they changed the title after they gave it the ISBN.  It's the same book as the
original book but with a different title.  Do I need to post it differently?   Thanks

Actually, if you could submit a data correction on the book,  it would be appreciated. Correct the title to read

Old Title (Formerly published as New Title)

Thanks!

Except was it also published under the other title?  Some books are published under two titles, so if someone has the old title and has it already listed then someone orders it with the new title (having been updated) then there's a problem.

Seems to me it's similar to the hardback/paperback--whoever gets in the DB first wins.

If it was never published under the other title, then updating the DB is clearly the way to go. But if it was, then I don't think that's a good idea and it'd have to be listed via no-ISBN.

No..it's a new true crime book...not one that is being re-issued.  I need to wait and post it after someone changes the title.....right?

no, you can go ahead and post it and when the database is updated your book will be updated

so how does it work with books that are being reissued with a new name?  For example:

A Nose for Murder by Lee Charles Kelley is being re-released as The Airedale Princess (I think that is the title change, something close anyway).  I don't know if they will reuse the ISBN or issue a new one.  If they use the same can you put both titles in the line?  and should it really read

New Title (formerly Old Title)
