Does anyone know if this is a "dead" series?  I'm going to be starting the 3rd one soon but I noticed that there are only five books in this series and the last one was published in 2001.  Is anyone a big enough Charlaine Harris fan to know if she is done with this series or not?  (I'm thinking I might use it for the bonus on the mystery challenge.)

Yes, she is done with the series.  After the 5th one, she felt Lily was in a good place.  Lily did make an appearance in a Sookie Stackhouse book, visiting Sookie in the bar. Her Aurora Teagarden series is also a "dead" series.  Roe got her HEA at the end of the 8th book, "Poppy Done to Death".

Oh. I'm sorry to hear that. I'm reading both of those series now.  I want more!

Once I found out that Harris had decided to end the series, I've been holding off reading the last two in it....lol

I recently finished the Aurora Teagarden series and I enjoyed it, right up to the last two in the series.

I have all of Charlaine Harris' series sitting on my TBR but haven't gotten to them yet.   It's good to know that even two of them are dead series, there is actually and "ending" to the series to wrap it up.   So many dead series end simply because the author doesn't want to write any more or the publisher doesn't want to publish any more.  Therefore they just get "dropped" - some with cliffhangers.

So many series, so little time!
