I just got the new Charles Martin book from the library (had been on the list awhile) and I am so excited. Hope it is as good as his books in the past!

Okay- I just finished the book (The Mountain Between Us). Oh my goodness- this book is beyond AWESOME! I loved every minute of it. To say that it grabbed my heart is an understatement. AND the ending does not disappoint. I got it from the library, but now must get a copy for my keeper shelf.

I just bought this for my daughter for her birthday (which is on the 25th) and I was debating whether it was ok for me to read it before I gave it to her.  I have come to the conclusion that I will allow her to break open the book and enjoy the smell of the newness of it and read it after she does, but it will be a long wait.

We read When Crickets Cry in my church book club.  I loved it, even though I cried through most of it.
I started Where the River Ends some time back, but could never get into it and it went back to the library unfinished.

I look forward to reading The Mountain Between Us.

Where The River Ends does take some digging into to adjust to the story and the back and forth style it is written in, but if you are trying to read it now, hang in there! The last half or so makes it worth it all. I am still going out on a limb and saying that The Mountain Between Us is his best yet. That is saying a lot, because I absolutely loved The Dead Don't Dance and its' sequel.
