Another one of John Jakes wonderful books.He never fails me.
Excellent read depicting the old South and the struggles in Charleston during its fall. This book also has a great deal of factual information about the events leading up to the Civil War.
I really enjoyed this book. It had been awhile since I'd read any John Jakes. I'm looking forward to reading Savannah.

Historical ficton by one of the masters. The Bell family is the center of this saga that begins with the American Revolution and goes through America's antebellum period. Great storytelling!
