Chasing the Sun is the first book in Tracie's new series, Land of the Lone Star. Set during the Civil War, Hannah's neighbors are torn between supporting the South, the North, and just Texas. Add in warring Native Americans trying to escape being forced to reservations, and you have a plot that moves along nicely. The odd thing for me was that I found myself really despising Hannah's suitor, but not really caring much about Hannah or William. Hannah's siblings added in dashes of fun and humor along the way. I read the whole story just to see what would happen with Hannah's wannabe suitor.

With thanks to Bethany House Publishers for my review copy.
