For a change of pace I considered this a mild police story, or two stories in one book. It doesn't focus on foul language, which is a plus, and it doesn't focus on page after page of sex play, which is another plus, and I didn't consider it 'a thriller' or 'suspenseful' but just a good police story.
I waited on wish list for this and it was well worth the wait I loved this book. Great suspense. Almost like two stories within one, the way it is told and then it all comes together.Suspense till the end. I read book to fast, couldn't put it down and when it was over I wanted more.
I really enjoy Archer Mayor. His characters are well drawn and believable. His books are set in Vermont and give a great picture of the state.
