Robin Hardy weaves her testimony into an interesting middle ages story. It is interesting enough that I would like to put the sequel on my TBR list. Robin makes her characters walk out of the book and sit right beside you as you read. The plot and pursuing conflicts are whimsical with enough surprises to keep you saying "one more chapter and I'll be to bed".

I truly enjoyed this first in a series by Robin Hardy. A wonderfully romantic story of young love between a guardian and his charge, an heir to a kingdom. An unforgettable tale of love and loyalty, intrigue and high adventure for Christian readers of all ages.
