Has anyone read My Horizontal Life? I just finished it and am not really sure I want to read her 2nd book, Are you there Vodka, It's me Chelsea. She IS really funny, but the same shtick in each story made each chapter less funny and a bit tedious to me.

I'd love to hear some other feedback. Thanks.

I love Chelsea Handler, so this may be a little biased, but I loved Are you there vodka?. It's a lot more diverse as far as topics in each chapter, not so centered in her sexual escapades (but there are some). It talks alot about her relationship with her parents and her family. You see a little more into her life. Definitely worth a read, I'd say!

Thanks Alex. I was afraid it would just be another series of vignettes similar to the first. I enjoy her show and think she's a sceam, but I like more variety in written humor. Nice to hear it's more diverse than the first one. I don't mind the sexual nature (it's called My Horizontal Life for a reason!) but the storytelling did start to follow routine after awhile (albiet, still funny).

I'll keep Vodka on my WL then and give it a whirl. Cheers.

i really WANT to like chelsea handler...but i read My Horizontal Life and found it repetitive and self-indulgent.  I keep looking at Are you there Vodka? and toying giving it a try...glad to hear some of you enjoyed it.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who thought the same thing about her first book ;-)

I thought Are You There was MUCH better than Horizontal. I'd say go for it- you can always stop right? :)
