Search - Chet (The Cowboys, Bk 4)

Leigh Greenwood's books divide cowboys into those with honor and integrity and the other guys. It is refreshing to read a book where you know who the good guys are and can cheer for them to get the girls. Full of action and romance and a happy ending.

Pretty good read. I haven't read any of the others in the series, so I don't know if it's better or worse. The characters were well done, but the premise of the story was a little blah to me. Otherwise a good read. Great descriptions and dialogue.

When Chet Attamore rode into the Spring Water Ranch, he was a dusty drifter hoping to find a fresh horse and stay one step ahead of his reputation as a gunfighter. The next morning, Chet was being pressured into several unfamiliar roles- young Neil saw him as a gunslinging hero, the ranch foreman hoped he'd be the savior who could stand up to the neighor Lantz Royal who was always looking for land, and the lady owner of the ranch offered his a job as a cowboy. Melody was not only looking for a cowboy, she was looking for a husband and Chet was soon tempted to fufill her expectations.
