I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, so forgive me....I received a book that looks like a mouse chewed on the back cover plus about 1/3 of the pages. Would you consider this acceptable? I don't personally mind it with this PARTICULAR book, but don't feel like I can send it on so I can't decide whether to give the sending member a credit. Normally I am not super picky, but this particular condition of the book bothers me.

definitely not postable...there is something in the help documents that talked about chewed pages.

If you received this from another member I hope you marked it RWAP. Whether you ask for your credit back or not is your call but they need to know this is not acceptable to send

oh and you have to give them a credit when you mark the book received (it is done automatically) so you don't have the option of withholding it just because you mark it RWAP

I received one book that looked like it was chewed by the mail sorting machine.  I marked it as a problem but gave the sender the credit.  It looked like it was due to loose wrapping.  The machines do not do well with books in envelopes.   (It was from a new member.)  But if it was chewed by a critter, I'd want my credit.

The tag on this book says "dog chewed on upper right corner, does not impact reading"  - I wouldn't think the book should be posted then?  (Of course I don't know how tags work, but this looked very wierd to me.)

(I think I'm putting the link in here - never done this before, so forgive if I do it wrong:)  www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780674445444-In+a+Different+Voice+Psychological+Theory+and+Womens+Development

(Great book, btw)

Happy reading!

Keep in mind It is Not Optional to "give" the person the credit...It Is Optional for you to request or not request it back and for them to Give or Not give it back but, you have to mark the book received and that automatically gives the credit.
