I was wanting to know what everyone's favorite Chic Lit book of the Year was. The book didn't need to be published this year.  My favorite Chic Lit book that I read this year was Jane Green's Jemima J. I know that it wasn't written this year but it was definitely my favorite one. What books do you remember the most this year?

I think my favorite was Emily Giffin's Love the One You're With. I've loved all her books, but this one is a keeper for me.

I might vote for "Milkrun." I could totally relate to a LOT of it, and it was written really cutely too. Unrelated, but if you're looking for a cute movie in terms of chick lit for the big screen, I recommend "Broken English," which is available on Netflix. I just watched it and it was GREAT. Parker Posey can really do no wrong.

Mine would be The Next Thing On My List.  It was awesome.  :)

I loved Everybody Loves Evie and All About Evie by Beth Ciotta! Can't wait for Evie Ever After to come out in a few months!

ETA: 2008 was also the year I discovered Jen Lancaster, so now I can't decide. lol

Tough! It's a tie between Something Blue by Emily Giffin and The Little Lady books (all three) by Hester Browne.

I love the mystery shopper series by Elaine Viets. They are so fun. They're kind of like the Stephanie Plum series, but a bit more realistic and fresh. The Plum series has gotten pretty old.... which is sad cause I love funny, mystery, chick lit. Anyone know of any other series or stand alone books along the lines of the Plum or mystery shopper series???

I loved "Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons." I also liked "The J.A.P Chronicles" and "Something Blue."
