Dorcas and Ambrose Lowell have shown up from the tiny town of Big Knob, Ind., to give some advice and Daisy the dog is adorable, they all lend a touch of whimsey to the story.
I'm not in favor of the plot line that takes away someones TOTAL free will. Maybe the sex for me was just a tad to much also you can decide for yourself. But . . . .
Griffin knows he's been drugged and desperately wants his free will back, yet Lily keeps him ensnared. That's not romance--not at all. While the characters are wonderful and the writing superb, I am going to have to recommend you find a better romance book. One with two consenting adults.

I got really bored with this book after about 100 pages. I really really wanted to like this book after reading the first book where Anica accidentally turns her lover into a cat. In book 2 we meet Anica's sister Lily, who has a major crush on one of her bar patrons, Griffin. Griffin has made the ultimate decision that Lily is completely wrong for him, so he makes no effort to ask Lily out. Shes to "wild" for him. With Anica's wedding fast approaching, Lily decides to slip Griffin an infactuation charm so she can snag him as a date for the wedding.
The result of the charm is that Griffin suddenly decides he must have sex with Lily immediately. Insert pages and pages and pages of Griffin lusting for Lily, and the 2 of them go after it like raging bunnies. Insert more sex. And more sex and more sex! (lets completely leave out a plot while we are at it) After all that sex and lusting for sex, I gave up. I skimmed the last few pages for a resolution.
Very dissapointing book. I had high hopes for this book, and it just didnt deliver. There wasnt enough paranormal aspects, just sex , sex and more sex. Blah blah blah. Glad I got it from PBS and not the bookstore.

I'm a big fan of Vicki Lewis Thompson, and I thoroughly enjoyed Blonde With A Wand, so I had high expectations for this book. Sad to say, I was really disappointed. :-(
Where the first book was charming, the characters engaging, and the solution believable, this book was annoying, the characters self-absorbed, and the solution ridiculous. Blech.
