1 and 1/2 cups - mild cheddar cheese
3 heaping tbsp - mayo
3 tbsp - lemon juice
1 cup - fresh or thawed broccoli
1 can - cream of chicken
3 cups - instant rice
For some reason - I can't go over 6 ingredients so here are ALL of the ingredients (some may be missing from the list above)
Preheat the oven to 350.
Cut up the chicken in bite size pieces and cook the pieces until done.
Take a mixing bowl and mix together the following: can of cream of chicken, mayo, lemon juice - you will see when it is ready for the chicken to be added and then put the cooked chicken pieces in the bowl along with the broccoli. Mix well.
Pour the mixture in a 9x13 baking pan. Sprinkle the 1 and 1/2 cup of mild cheddar cheese on top. Bake at 350 for about 20-30 minutes - it's ready when the cheese melts and becomes bubbly.
While the chicken divan is cooking, boil 3 cups of water and add 3 cups of instant rice.
When the chicken divan is ready, put some rice on a plate and spoon the chicken divan over the top.
This is one of my favorite "quick" meals. I don't use broccoli because I don't like it but you can omit it or replace it with another veg - not sure what else would be good and how much to put in. When you add the ingredients, do the lemon juice first so you can use the same tablespoon to add the mayo - make sure the tbsps for the mayo are heaping. Mix wellfirst before adding the chicken and/or broccoli.
