Typical Chicken Soup book - interesting, slightly spiritualized stories. Includes first-hand stories, some cartoons, a few lists about what you can learn from individual animals. Good, quick reading. Nice to carry with you for odd moments when you need a bit of reading.
Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soulâ¦. How could I not buy it? It is a wonderful book and every pet owner should read it. If I'm feeling blue I like to read one of the pick-me-up stories. This is a book that I tend to give as gifts to any friend that has a pet. Even gave one to a doctor's assistant when I heard how much she adores her dogs. It has my vote, as do all the Chicken Soup Pet Books....for Cats, Dogs, Horses and so on. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have. (Don't worry any posted on my book shelf are extrasâ¦.I've kept a copy for myself.)

Most people have a pet at least once in their lives, and the experience makes an impact on them - the caring, trust, love and tenderness affects how the person lives and grows. This book is full of stories of pets that had profound impacts on their owners lives, and how the owners experienced joy and sorrow as their pets grew and died. A great book for anyone with a furry companion, or even those with feathery, scaly, or slimy ones!

I appreciate the fact that the book's chapters are broken out by topic. Need to read about grieving? You can go right to those stories. Need to AVOID reading about grieving? You also know which chapter to skip.

By sharing stories of remarkable relationships between animals and people, these inspiriational stories prove that oftentimes our greatest heros, healers, and teachers, are furry, feathered, or four-legged.
If you love pets then this is the book for you! There are a lot of good stories and sad stories, basically there are all kinds of stories in this book! It is a fun book to read!

So enjoyable it warms you up.
There are vignettes by the hilarious Dave Barry, by Barbara Bush about the first dog, by Jimmy Stewart, by Betty White, and others. Inspirational while revealing of the authors. This is a must read!
With chapters on amazing animals, love, companionship and saying good-bye, each page captures the unique life-enhancing bonds between animals and people. A very good book for any pet-lover. I recommend it for everyone.
