I am about half way through this book and it is a fascinating read. The writer is very personable and adds her own experience in a very relevant way. This is not really a book about "should I be a parent or shouldn't I". It is more about the social and political climate that led to it being a choice for women born in the 1940's- current.

It explains a lot of things my mother told me about parenting and why she had children despite her desire to remain childless.
