This book is like watching an accident. You know it's gross but you can't turn away and not look. Well, I couldn't put it down. I had to see what would happened to Walter, Grace, Lay, Ophelia, and Sukie. It's a disturbing portrayal of a dysfunctional family living with ignorance, incest, and having the will to survive.

This book was excellent. I read through it in a few days. The whole story line was searing. This is my first novel by the author and I'm looking forward to reading other books by her also.
