Search - Child of God

Excellent book! This one kept me glued to my seat and up late nights reading.

This book is like watching an accident. You know it's gross but you can't turn away and not look. Well, I couldn't put it down. I had to see what would happened to Walter, Grace, Lay, Ophelia, and Sukie. It's a disturbing portrayal of a dysfunctional family living with ignorance, incest,and having the will to survive.

This book was excellent. I read through it in a few days. The whole story line was searing. This is my first novel by the author and I'm looking forward to reading other books by her also.

Very good novel about a Southern black family.
