China Remembers Edgar Snow Author:Wang Xing Edgar Snow (1905-1972), Missouri-born, was the first foreign journalist to penetrate the civil was blockade and interview and photograph Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai and other leaders of the old Chinese Red Army in 1936. During the 1950s, Snow was harassed by McCarthyites in the United States and he moved to Switzerland, where he continued to watch and write about developments in People's China. He revisited China in 1960, 1964 and 1970 and wrote revealing accounts about numerous aspects of life in China.
This booklet is a collection of some of the articles and speeches (abridged) commemorating the tenth anniversary of Snow's death, by people who knew him.
