This series is an enjoyable series of short, light cozies involving the niece of a chocolate shop owner in a lake resort town in Michigan. The stories are not deep, not challenging, not really funny, but are pleasant, mildly interesting, and fun as long as you're not looking for great literature.

This was my first introduction to a "cozie". I found it very enjoyable. The characters were fun. I was worried it would be lacking in mystery, but I was still guessing as to "whodunnit" till the last chapter. The chocolate confections were so descriptive you may be craving a box of chocolates before the book is through!

This is a fun book, the second in the series, and keeps you guessing about the mystery. Good fun read, with a romantic sub-plot.

This is a fun sries, not too serious, not too frivolous. Easy reading, plot goes along
pleasantly. it won't scare you, and it won't make you laugh out loud, but they are satisfying nonetheless. I have read all but the last two, and am still looking forward to getting those.

What a great book! JoAnna Carl has a way of dragging you in from the first chapter and not letting go until the book is over! I highly recommend this book as a great winter read. Goes wonderful with a fire and a snowy day!

This is the first I've read of this author, the second in this series. I enjoyed the read, and the allusions to chocolate, though I'll admit that they caused me to raid my stash more than once! A light, quick read. As others have said, not difficult but mildly amusing and great if you aren't looking for something profound. I'll read more by this author and in this series, but this seems to be a series that should be read IN ORDER! ;)

Very good chocoholic mystery with Lee McKinney still working at Ten Huis chocolate shop with her aunt. This time a teddy bear promotion for the town brings some valuable antique chocolate molds on display, and Lee is soon up to her neck in a theft and a murder!!
Great, quick cozy mystery!
