1 Coffee Mug

4 tablespoons flour(that's plain flour, not self rising)

4 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons baking cocoa

1 egg

3 tablespoons milk

3 tablespoons oil

3 tablespoons chocolate chips(optional)

some nuts(optional)

small splash of vanilla

Add dry ingredients to mug and mix well.Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.

Add the chocolate chips(if using) and the vanilla, Mix again

Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed.

Allow to coola little and tip out onto a plate if desired.

Eat! this can serve 2 if you want to share!

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because now we are only 5 minutes away from the chocoalte cake at any time of the day or night!  Enjoy !

With 3T oil, an egg and 3T milk, it should be called heart-attack in a mug! :p

(But it sounds delicious!!)

I think they are all microwaving it too long.  It will continue to cook 2-3 minutes after it's removed from the microwave.

Okay, is it just me, or does the strawberry variant look like Pepto-bismol loaf?

I have made this numerous times. I like it. It's a bit denser than normal cake, almost more like a brownie, but tastes good to me. I do prefer to use rasberry extract instead of vanilla though. Has a better flavor. Goes good with some ice cream!

ETA: I cook mine for exactly 4 minutes on high, in a larger than normal mug.

April, since yours turns out, you should take a picture and post it on that site above! Thanks for sharing how long you cook it for, too. :-)

my son and I tried out this recipe today.  A friend of mine had emailed it to me.  The only thing is I used self-rising flour.  I never know, when a recipe just says flour, which one to use.  I cooked it for 4 mins and it was just a little spongy and tasted like a brownie.  My son put cream cheese icing on his and loved it.
