A MERRY MACHINATION...
Robert Avery, Earl of Barrisford, prided himself on being the quintessential gentleman. But he could hardly stand by and allow his foolishly smitten nephew to be led down the garden path by the incomparably lovely but duplicitous Lady Romsemary Trevelyan. Duty-bound and determined to expose her for the fortune hunter she was, the earl arrived at merry Marston Hall, where, bewteen Rosemary's eccentric relations and some strategically situated mistletoe, the world-weary nobleman didn't stand a chance!

OR TIDINGS OF TRUE LOVE?
Lady Rosemary would never have played a role in her father's audacious scheme had their family not been in such penury. Indeed, the independent-minded beauty had planned never to wed. But when the wealthy young suitor they'd selected for one her sisters offered for her hand instead, Rosemary knew she had to accept. Then that meddlesome Robert Avery appeared on an apparent mission to wreak havoc in her home and heart! There was no denying he was handsome; yet little did Rosemary suspect that one shared kiss would lead to love.

Review: This is one of those books where the man suspects the woman of being a fortune hunter and believes all sorts of bad things about her but falls in love with her anyway. Now, these can work but this one didn't really set enough time bewteen the two main characters where they got along for it to feel believable that he'd suddenly decide he wanted to marry her. And there really seemed to be very little time when she liked him because he really was rude. It would have been better if the plot had developed a little more.
