I was just getting ready to mail a  book that I bought at a FOL sale yesterday.  The book is in excellent condition but I just noticed that there is writing on the very last end paper.  This is the second completely blank page at the very end of the book.  There is no text at all on the book.  Someone has written the names of four Carribean islands.  The PBS guidelines say this:

Overall Condition:

  • No damage at all from water or other liquid
  • Not soiled
  • No stains (exception for cookbooks--see below)
  • No mold
  • no highlighting, underlining or writing on text pages (exception for Textbooks/Workbooks and travel guidebooks --see below)

Since the writing is not on a text page, this should be fine, right?  The book is in otherwise like-new condition.

What do y'all think?

I think it is fine, as it isn't on a text page.
