Brand new condition, scary Jonathan Kellerman novel.
Not the best in the series, but still a strong plot and well drawn characters.
Not a psychological thriller in my opinion. Too many people introduced before any action commenced. Also way to discriptive. One of the most boring books I have read.
Couldnt put it down
The first half of this book was extremely slow for me. It was filled with a hand full of suspects and a lot of dead ends which I'm sure in reality, for a detective, working a cold case actually happens but for a reader it makes for some slow reading. Almost gave up on it a few times because it was moving at such a slow pace for me but I kept after it. I'm glad I did because it turned into quite a different story than I was expecting. This was my first time reading anything by Jonathan Kellerman and I don't think it'll be the last.
This was a great read.
Excellent writer!!
Her male-bashing pop-psych bestseller created a storm on controversy on the talk-show circuit. Now PRofessor Hope Devane is dead, brutally slashed on a quiet street in one of LA's safest neighborhoods. The LAPD's investigation has reached a dead end, and homicide detective Milo Sturgis turns to his friend, Dr. ALex Delaware for a psychological profile of the victim--and a portrait of a killer.
One of Kellerman's early Alex Delaware book. As usual, he manages to weave together an incredible mystery. The solution is not until the final page. He is very clever on his development of characters. As usual, a good read.
Written in 1996--a Dr. Alex Delaware mystery.
another but early kellerman . it builds and builds I love this man

---Hope Devane had very different public and private faces. The killer could be any one of the millions who read her book, or someone from the personal lives she kept so carefully separate. As Alex and Milo dig deeper into her shadowy past, they will set an elaborate trap for her killer...and reveal the unspeakable act that triggered a dark chain of violence.

Great read!
A Dr. Alex Delaware novel. Psychological thriller about a psychologist assisting the police to catch the psychotic killer of an equally disturbed colleague.
If you're a fan of Alex Delaware, you will like this book. I found it extremely interesting and a page turner to the end!
An Alex Delaware page-turner mystery.
When the L.A.P.D. can't find who killed the male-bashing author of the pop-pych bestseller, homicide dective Milo Strgis tirns to his friend Dr. Alex Drlaware for a psychological profile of the victim- a portrait of a killer.
Interesting storyline and plenty of plot twists and turns. This was my first Kellerman novel of the Alex Delaware series. It's fine to read out of order and has led me to wanting to read more of his novels.
Cover has slight damage
very intriguing book
another excellent delaware novel

A brilliantly plotted thriller that builds to a white-knuckle climax.
A 1997 and the 12th of many Alex Delaware mysteries by Kellerman. I read this book a couple years ago, during my Jonathan Kellerman phase, I forgot most of it.
Dr. Alex Delaware, is AWESOME, If you have read one you will want to read them all, You won't be able to put it down, he is caring, smart, and always intertaining
