I read Nora Roberts books and love them but havent read any of her JD Robb books..........I'm way behind on the series as there are 43 ? books now?

Question:  Are they worth reading?

If I start them, should I begin with #1 in the series and work my way through them??  I'm a stickler about reading an entire series starting with book one .....

Any suggestions?

I'm thinking about reading and clearing off my TBR as much as I can the rest of this year; then making it my reading challenge for 2012 to begin and catch up to the latest published book of the Robb series (along with reading other books).  I could possibly do it;  in July and August this year for the Cozy Challenge so far I've read 35 books..........so if they're easy to read.........and I can get hold of all of them.......I could do it!

Hi Lynn -

I would definitely read them in order.  Although you might not want to read all of them in a row.  I have to say the first 6 were all extremely good to me - I can remember them more distinctly than later ones.

I was always a real Nora Roberts fan.  When I learned that she also wrote as JD Robb, I picked one up (don't remember the title).  Wow, was I shocked... I never would have known that it was the same author.  Very futuristic, angry,  and the language was absolutely foul.  I don't even remember if I finished it, but I'd never bother with another one.

I like them but there's a lot of violence..Eve came from a background of extreme abuse and is now a homicide detective..Roarke is a suspect in book 1 and is the richest man in the universe -with a past. I enjoy their relationship but the violence is more than I usually read so I pace myself. some are better than others at least for me but I'm going in order with them. there's also a lot of sex and I think it's more graphic than her romance titles(doesn't bother me but be prepared - It hought they were just suspense and was l istening to the audio and was taken by surprise)

Eve softens a bit as the series continues - so far she's not mushy but more of her past comes out and she doesn't stay as standoffish.
