If you liked A Yellow Raft in Blue Water you will like this book which takes a look at the family in more depth. A great story about love

Nice epic tale. Worth quoting: "...you lived the first half of your life for your parents and the second half of your life for your child and if you could manage to squeeze a vacation or two in the middle for yourself you should count yourself fortunate."

I found this book to be fairly good reading until I neared the end. I get the impression that the author knew he needed to end the book, so he contrived a scene that was so unfitting, and so unrealistic that it destroyed the book. If you read this book, do yourself a favor and quit before you get to KFC. Had the book ended before this scence, I may have given it 4 stars.
