Hi again - another question.

Tonight when I was posting books, I went to club wish list and found one of the books I was going to post there.  So I listed the book, but then it did not come up as being on hold for a wish list person.  How come?

Thanks,

Pat

Did the ISBN match? If not than  you probably have a different edition than to the one that is WL.  If the ISBN matched than it might have been on 1hr Buyers Remorse hold if the 1st person had it on Autorequest.  It would show on your shelf only to you with a gray ! that says "1 hr buyers remorse" when you hover over it.  It would then show up as a book request.

When you say you went to the club wish list, where exactly did you go? If you went to the Top 50's page, keep in mind that those books may not be wished for right now. Those are just the most wished for books of all time / last 30 days / last 7 days. If all the wishes were fulfilled, then your book may not be wished for.

If you searched the club wish list under the Search menu, then there are two possibilities:

- if you searched by title, then you probably have a different ISBN than the one that is wished for

- if you searched by ISBN, then you didn't actually search the wish list. Whenever you search by ISBN, the book details page for that book will appear, even if it's not on the wish list. You have to look for the "Members Wishing" line on the details page if you're going to search by ISBN to see whether it's currently being wished for.

Yes - I went to

search - club wish list - search for wanted books - and placed isbn in search box - came back with page saying 1 member wishing - so I posted book, but it did not go to 48 hour hold for a wished book, and still not requested this morning.  I just posted another wish listed book this morning with 2 people waiting, so will see how that goes.

Anyway, I think I'm all set - I was down to 1 credit, so I wanted to get some quick turn arounds by posting wish listed books - this morning I woke up to 3 requests from my bookshelf anyway, which is great - I guess a lot of people are reading now that the holidays are done.  I joined in November, and it took forever to get my first book from the club, and I was so impatient LOL.

Thanks,

Pat

It might have been wished for, and then the requesting member changed their mind and cancelled the request...unfortunately, that happens a lot, I have found, when there is only 1 wisher.
