Nancy Drew has always been a source of good, clean, mystery fun with interesting characters and fascinating plotlines. As a child, I loved them, and even now I still get a kick out of flicking open the books to see if I've forgotten where the clues led.

These books are great fun for kids - they enhance vocabulary and reading skills as well as allowing them to think outside the box.

In this particular conundrum, Nancy is called upon to investigate a series of thieving party-crashers - and finds herself embroiled in a mystery bigger than she could have suspected.

Carolyn Keene again delivers a fun and fascinating story with mystery and spice, and just a hint of danger.

Carson Drew portends his teen-age detective daughter's future adventure when he says half-jjokingly " Nancy, don't let any party thieves ruin your evening." The Masquerade party at the Hendrick's mansion quickly turns into a mystery when Nancy and her date spy a stranger about to climb the rose trellis to the second story. Who is this enigmatic man in the black cloak and the exotic woman in the javanese costume?

Book 30 Beautiful gift book.

Nancy goes on the trail of the ruthless Velvet Gang, bold criminals that steal valuable jewels and art from the homes of wealthy people while the owners are throwing parties. The gang members use velvet masks to conceal their identities. This was a very good book that kept me interested from begining to end. The book is well-written and is loaded with action. George is kidnapped, as are Nancy and Bess and Nancy is constantly coming face-to-face with the gang. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and I highly recommend it to all fans of Nancy Drew.
