the movie did not do it justice. I loved every page!
i absolutely LOVE the green mile. especially in the serial novel format. it's a great story, well told. and even tho it's over, the contest at the back of each book makes a great writing exercise... just write an essay instead of 50 words or less.
This was an okay book. It's a very short read.
I'm not a King fan, but this series was great! The Green Mile represents the last walk taken by condemned prisoners. Is John Coffey a vicious murder of children, or a gentle giant wrongfully accused? Set in 1932, this story of murder, mystery and miracles is told from the point of view of a prison guard.
Great series. All six books are a great read!
Superb! It's interesting who helps who by the end of the book.
This series is fantastic. Paul uncovers the truth and is beside himself with worry. Is he acting out of obligation or mercy. How can he best serve an unselfish man whome noboby trusts? Read these books in order.
This series is so great! I loved it!
I especially cried on this last part of the series..
ONE OF STEVEN KINGS BEST.
As always Stephen King keeps us with our eyes glued to the pages.
Part 6 of the Green Mile series...
Cold Mountain Penitentialry has seen its share of death through the years. Now it's John Coffey's turn to take that final walk down the Green Mile. Yet prison guard Paul Edgecombe has uncoverd a devestating truth, which means he could be too late to save both himself and Coffey. You see, death by execution may be the easy way out. It's living with the consequences that may last an eternity...
This is an excellent series of mini-books by King. Well written. I couldn't wait for the next one !!!!
I picked this edition up at B & N because I just couldn't bear to return the library copy with this last chapter unread. This is the best and deepest Stephen King I have read since the Shining!! It is sad, soulful and suspenseful! Really!
Consider me a prodigal King Reader after this reading, ready to give Stevie another chance!
I recommend this book to anyone
I love this series, very well written and enjoyable!!
It's John Coffey's turn to walk the Green Mile. The final chapter. Very good book
Stephen King's serial adventure.
Excellent series I recommend reading all of these and then seeing the movie, the books always seem better in my opinion.
Along with the other five parts it is a great read.
Book 6 of The Green Mile - The conclusion of a strange but beautiful thriller by Stephen King. He holds you in suspense throughout the story, but also infuses this tale with tender gentleness from a surprising source.
This is the last volume, John Coffey going to the electric chair. Very sad. I loved him.
This book, the last in the series, truly captivated me. The ending was heartbreaking and a real tear jerker.
This is the 6th and final book in the "Green Mile Series
It's Coffey's turn to walk the green mile. You see death by execution may be the easy way out. But, it's the living with the consequences that may last an eternity...
