Search - Cold as Ice (Ice, Bk 2)

This was okay in my opinion. There was a lot of foul language, which I didn't feel was necessary. There was suspense all the way through, which is good, but I found the romance aspect lacking. I will go on to read the third book in this series, as I thought the first one (Black Ice) was great.

Typical Anne Stuart novel. The characters are, perhaps, the least evenly matched of her dominant men and not-quite-submissive women. Despite that, I didn't want to put it down until the end.

Lots of action in this one! And lots of steamy sex as well. ;-) A great action romance were the hero doesn't have superpowers...just darn good at his job.

Working for the committee, Secret Operative Peter Jensen is ready to finish his latest mission...kill Billionaire Harry Van Dorn. Mr. Van Dorn is well known for his philanthropy. What most people don't know is he has a plan to bring down the world financial markets with a series of seven terrorist attacks. Peter must stop him, but an innocent bystander has got in his way. Genevieve Spenser is a lawyer who just needs Van Dorn's signature on some paperwork. Now she is being held against her will and just may end up being collateral damage in a mission to save the world.

This is the second book in Anne Stuart's Ice series. Stuart has written her usual dark hero who I found very compelling. Peter Jensen is very cold and proud of the fact that he can control his emotions. Or does he even have any emotions? When Genevieve finally breaks through his icy veneer things get very interesting. I was thoroughly entertained by this story and will definitely be reading the next book. I just wish it hadn't ended so abruptly. Another chapter would have helped wind up the story. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

I ended up reading this book before the first book in the series and I am already hooked! Looking forward to getting the rest of them soon!!!

I didn't read this as part of the series, so I can't say if it follows the first book or even what the other after this one is like, but I can say that this was a good read.
