I enjoyed listening to this book. The author invokes the reader's imagination to travel back to a time of civil war history. A time when lifes daily struggles were so intense that men and women had to depend on their survival instincts just to exist until the war ended.
better than the movie...
One of my all time favorite books. Took me about 50 pages or so to get into it, but then I was totally captivated.
This was great to listen to on a three-hour car trip. Made the time fly by.
