Hi, all! I don't normally post in the forums, so forgive me if I sound like a newbie here.....I am to the forums, but not to the site. I am a 48 year old widow who has just been accepted to North Carolina State University as a transfer student, starting my junior year in August. But I have a REALLY big collection of books that will not fit in my tiny studio apartment in student housing! So, here's the deal: I have close to 200 books on my bookshelf now, most of them posted this weekend. I will be posting more as I go through the rest of my collection, and deciding the tiny number I can take to my new place, as well as what few can go into storage for the next two to six years. (think grad school......) There will be new books every few days or so for the next month, probably. I will also have a few freebies, as I go through my personal things, such as Discipleship Journal and Taste of Home magazines and a few VHS tapes. I have to sort through everything I own in less than a month, since I will be going on a hike on the Appalachian Trail in mid July. Yikes! At the end of July, when I have to move, my bookshelf will empty itself, and all books on it will be donated to my local PTA thrift shop. So, how about it, ladies and gentlemen? I have science fiction and fantasy, cookbooks and home improvement, some history, and a certain number of Christian/theology books. Please help me clear my apartment before I have to move at the end of July! Darcyjo

Are you doing a deal? If so, I would like to propose a 3 for 1:

DEVIL WIVES OF LI FONG

Hiero's Journey

The Unforsaken Hiero

I will order one and you can send the other two as freebies (?)

Thanks!

Yeah, I think that sounds good. All three of them have been on my bookshelf for a while. I really LOVED the Hiero books, wish I could keep them, but it sounds like they'll get a good home. :o) Order Devil Wives, I'll freebee the other two. As for deals in general, they have to be proposed individually. See something you like? Ask me, I just might go for it. If not, no hard feelings, I'm already shipping 32 books from this weekend alone, and another 20 are waiting for people who have them wishlisted. Yeehah! :oD

Wondering the same thing, deal? I sent you a pm also,

Interested in the Steven Brust books, all 7 of them, also all 6 of the Christopher Stasheff books, so 13 books, would be willing to trade 4 credits? Let me know if interested. I will order four books from these two series.

Hon, let me think about that, several of the books I posted in those series were wishlisted and are gonna go this week. I have to head out for a couple of hours, so I'll get back to you. Later! :o)

Congrats on going to college... how exciting!

I'm interested in the 3 Robert Asprin books:

A Phule and His Money, Phule's Company and Phule's Paradise.

Would you be willing to do a 3/1 deal on these?  I pm'd you, too.

Okay, all, there's lots of books here, and I really got to get rid of them.....either y'all or the thrift shop, and I'd prefer it be someone who really wants them! Please take a quick look and see if there's something you like, and make an offer. If you would like, I will include Taste of Home magazines, two for each book, at your request.....for those who like to cook, there's nothing more fun!

Hi Darcy,

I was looking through your shelf, and I was wondering: would you be willing to do a 3-for-1 deal on the Angelwalk trilogy by Roger Elwood? I sent you a PM, too.

Thanks!

Anna

Alright, I hope to post ten more before I leave for work this morning, five cookbooks and five science fiction/fantasy. Have a look and see what you might like, okay?

I posted the ten, and four of them were wishlisted, so I added another ten science fiction, giving a total of 16 new books to the bookshelf today, and I hope to add more this evening. :o)
