DH and I went there in 1995, it was a Christmas gift from DH parent's.  Actually they wanted a week with the girls.  We had such fun, it was just before Christmas and there were no crowds, the hotel was fantastic the food excellent.  and when I got the photo's back we realised we had two rolls of film just from the cemetery.  LOL

That was fun!  I would love to go there.  I'm on a campaign to get my dh to retire so maybe we could travel a bit.

Jerelyn, I know what you mean about the cemetery. I love those old ones. One of the coolest I've been to is the one in Bodie, California. I wish the website for that town was still active, they had the coolest shots. Do some googling and you'll find it, they are also on FB. http://www.facebook.com/VisitBodie . The town is on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas (south of Tahoe). A booming mine town, it eventually was completely deserted and much of the buildings and interior furnishings were left behind. You can walk around and peer in the windows and see the rotting drapes, books, furniture, etc. Seriously cool. Run by the State of Cali and they are allowing it to decay naturally.

That was fun! I was able to spend a weekend there right after high school, but I definitely want to go back one day.

Now, I want to visit that place in Cali, too. I think seeing the left behind stuff would be so interesting!
