I wanted to like this book. There were many interesting elements to this book: university setting, middle aged angst, the excitement surrounding the new couple, etc. The university culture was accurately portrayed, Unfortunately, none of the other elements delivered. The book seems about as deep and well thought out as the fictional source for the title.
If you like books that are mainly character studies of one or two characters, you may like this book. If you are after a story, you may be disappointed.
