Hi:

I'm new to the site, and I have a question about Graphic Novels and Comic books.  I have some graphic novels/trade paperback I might want to post, and I have a box of single issue comic books that I would like to either trade or donate. Does Paperbackswap accept that kind of stuff?

They don't take single issue comics but yes on graphic novels.

And you can offer the comic books free with an offer from your shelf, or as freebees, in the Book Bazaar.  Graphic novels are very popular!

I don't think comic books can be sent media mail.  I've never been into them but I think they have advertising in them right?  So if you offer them as freebies be sure to send 1st class.  Media Mail is subject to inspection and people have been inspected and charged a higher postal rate.  Either media mail again for sending it back to the sender. Or the requestor gets it with postage due.

Correct, they're like magazines.  So if you want to offer comics as freebies, be prepared to ship them first class mail.

Cheers,

Catt

Thanks for the replies. I live in Alaska, so I pretty much have to send everything first class anyway, unless you would want your books two months from now. Though I do like that idea of maybe offering the book as freebies. Another guy  on this named Victor S. suggested that too, and he has bunch he is looking to trade.

Kelly--

I've sent and received items from Alaska using Media Mail with no problems, so don't rule it out entirely.

Cheers,
