Are there any books coming out soon that you are eagerly anticipating? Books that will have you standing in the book store on their release date?

I'm waiting on the new Steinbeck! No, not John Steinbeck...his son, Thomas Steinbeck has written his first novel and I'm very curious to see how much of Dad's talent he inherited. The title is "In the Shadow of the Cypress".

I'm also eager to check out Hilary Mantel's new book about Henry VIII - "Wolf Hall". I wasn't really dying to read another book about Good King Harry, but I loved Mantel's book "A Place of Greater Safety" and I'm eager to see what he does with this one. It sounds good!

I have pre-ordered Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran and plan to start reading it as soon as it arrives.

Daphne wrote a great review of the book that convinced me I needed to read it. http://shelfandstuff.blogspot.com/2009/07/cleopatras-daughter-by-michelle-moran.html

I'm dying to read Gabaldon's An Echo in the Bone. I'm also checking AZN frequently for a pre-order option for Susan Higginbotham's upcoming Wars of the Roses book, The Stolen Crown. I believe it's due out in March.

I can't say that this is coming out SOON (April 2010!), but I am anxiously awaiting Ariana Franklin's "A Murderous Procession".

I can't wait for the Lost Symbol.  I am a Dan Brown fan (Angels and Demons is my favorite).  I also have Cleopatra's Daughter on my wishlist.  I'm obsessed with Egyptology so I like that time period.  The Heretic Queen (her previous book) is also on my wishlist.

Shelley,  me too, looking forward to another Saxon chronicle.  And I'm also looking forward to C W Gortner's book about Catherine de Medic.  And of course Elizabeth Chadwick's To Defy a King is coming out next spring.  Her novels are instant favorites for me.

It looks like they upgraded the editor. This may depend on what browser you are using. I'm using FF 3 and I see a link icon in the top editorial row. It's the penultimate icon on the right.

You highlight the words you want to link and then click the icon to insert the URL.

Thanks, Genie! I upgraded to FF3 and it's working again. I don't know if the upgrade fixed it or if there was some other issue. Oh, well, I've been meaning to upgrade the FF and this finally made me do it. ;-)

Echo in the Bone, To Defy a King and Susan Higganbotham's new one. This is the first Fall in memory where I don't have a new EC book to look forward to.
