Main charcter Arthur Dent learns earth is to be destroyed he is saved by his friend Ford Prefect an alien from another planet. This tells of their travels through space with the eccentric Zaphod Beeblebrox, the earth beauty Trillian, and the overly depressed robot Marvin. I personally love this book it holds much comedic relief. A bit slow at times and some of the chapters are quite short.
