This is obviously a computer error, but I thought I would share.  A book was mailed to me from Arlington, VA on 2/27.  All well and good.  Now, however, the book is shown as having the barcode scanned in Bethpage, NY.  On 1/1/2002.

Yes.  This book has done the impossible and travelled back in time.

That's funny! Maybe time travel explains lost books as well. They have traveled to another decade.

Yep - that could explain my PO's losing books - they sent them back to colonial times!

I had a book arrive before it was shipped.  Had to double checked that postmark date when marking it received.

I have one that is about to go lost. It probably has gone back to a time before it was published. No wonder it isnt here yet.

The books move forward in time too. It's just sitting in the PO 3 months from now, waiting for you to catch up.

I think it must be something to do with Bethpage, NY.  I have 2 books coming from there that say they were mailed on 1/1/2002.  They were mailed more than 7 years before I ordered them.  WOW!  I wonder what's being mailed now that I will request in another 7 years.

We used to go on school trips to Old Bethpage when I was growing up.  Maybe there is some kind of crack in the time/space continuum in Bethpage, NY.
