This was a good story. Frisco Styer was a business woman who was very good at her job. She was speechless when her father told her that he had mismanaged the family business to the brink of bankruptcy. She will do anything to save the company, including stopping Lucas MacCanna who tried to takeover the company. Lucas is a cold ruthless businessman who only loves to win. That is until he met beautiful Frisco. He then decided to mix business and pleasure. He offered her a partnership in the business only if Frisco will be is lover. Frisco turns the offer around, marriage and then they will become partners in business. When Lucas accepted it,she just realized that she probably did a great mistake. Frisco falls in love with Lucasbut wonders if he will ever be capable of loving her. After all, the man married her only for the business and pleasure in bed. The characters were strong, it also include secondary characters that was quite intriguing. If you love romance story with a love and hate situation between the hero and heroine this is that written well.

Frisco Styer was a business woman who was very good at her job. She was speechless when her father told her that he had mismanaged the family business to the brink of bankruptcy. She coldn't let her mother know cause she knew her mother would not take it well. She will do absolutely anything to save the company, including stopping Lucas MacCanna who tried to takeover the company.

Lucas was a cold ruthless businessman who only love to win. Until he met beautiful Frisco, that he decided to mix business and desire into one. He offered her a partnership in business only if Frisco will be her lovers. Frisco turned the offer around by gave Lucas another offer, it will be a marriage and then they will become partners in business. When Lucas accepted it, she just realized that she probably did a great mistake. Frisco was fallen ahead in love with Lucas but the man was seem so far to reach. After all, the man married her only for the business and pleasure in bed. Was Frisco dare enough to took all the risk in order to obtain Lucas love, but realizing she could also lost him by doing just that?

Although the book was enjoyable, it was not the best of Joan Hohl. The plot was too clich and lots of absurdity. Example, how can a father thrown his own daughter who he loved so much into a marriage just to save his own hide? But all in all, this book is still readable. The characters were strong, it also include secondary characters that was quite intriguing.

This is a good light read for summer. I enjoy this author because she actual has a plot and doesn't write in the typical romance style.

I enjoy most of Ms. Hohl books, but this one not as much. It's an older work, and well used concept.

Frisco chooses to make the sacrifice to save her father and her family's business by marrying the suitor who is intent on taking over the business. They are both attracted to each other, so the choice is not very hard. But dealing with their pride takes a lot of effort for both, and I found it tiring.

fRISCO sTYER NEVER SURRENDERS. aND NOW THAT HER FATHER HAS WOEFULLY MISMANAGED THE FAMILY BUSINESS, IT'S UP TO HER TO SAVE THEM BOTH...BY STOPPING THE RUTHLESS TAKEOVER BID OF LUCAS MACCANNA.
Lucas cares about only one thing: winning. He makes his own rules, and takes no prisoners - or lovers. Until he meets Frisco...and desire flames sweet and hot. Now he has a new game plan: a no-holds-barred battle to possess the company-and the woman.
Frisco should be shocked by Lucas's proposition: a partnership in business only if they become partners in bed. But he's too arrogant, too handsome, too wildly arousing.

Her counter-offer is one last desperate bid for control: marriage- take it or leave it. Yet from the moment Lucas says yes, all the rules change...as two passionate adversaries discover that, in the game of love, it's every woman and man...for each oter.
