I was in the middle of ordering a book from a member and browsing their shelf to see if there were other books I might be interested in.  Right in the middle my computer died so I had to re-boot it.  At the top right hand side of my screen there is a big yellow check mark that says I have 1 pending request for a book.  But, when I try to click on that check mark message nothing happens.  I still want the book but I don't know how to complete the order.  Any suggestions?

If the request went through correctly, you should see it on your My Account page. There would still be an "order more from member" button there.

If you do not see the request on your My Account page, then check your Credit Registry. Do you see a -1 for this book? If so, you need to use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page to ask the programmers for help. A Tour Guide would not be able to solve a problem with mixed up database records.

There is no order on My Account page yet and there is nothing in the Creidt Registry page.  I can only see it when I hold my mouse over that big yellow check mark up in the right hand corner.

I would ignore the yellow check mark and just order the book like you were going to originally,  maybe then the checkmark will go away.  It sounds to me like the check mark saying one pending request was for someone ordering a book from you.  Maybe it's just a glitch.

Wendy - this will sound stupid - but did you have any other requests prior to the computer crashing.  If so, that is your pending order. 

Start the request again and see if it brings you to the same user where it is pending as in you did not complete the request.  Of course do not finish ordering the book unless you know it is the same member and you are only confirming your order.

Wendy - also when you hover over the check mark, click on pending request and see if it brings you anywhere.  It should work as a link.

Whew - I think I am all set now.  That yellow check mark did not bring me anywhere except to my original page.  BUT, I was able to locate the book again and have now safely ordered it.  I don't know if that first one will ever show up or not.  If so, I will just re-list it because I don't need two.  There were not alot of this book in the system so I am sure it will be requested sooner or later. 

Thanks for the help everyone.  I usually don't have problems like this...don't know what happened.....a computer hiccup maybe?
