Is there a way to put in the exact condition of a book? There is a wide range of what "good" means and usually my range is a lot wider than other people's.

Holly, there is no way to post specifics about your particular copy. When in doubt, just go to the PBS Book Condition Guidelines in the Help Center and compare the condition of your book to the guidelines point-by-point. If it meets the guidelines, post it! This is what I've done and it's worked for me! :)

Welcome to PBS!

I like getting books as long as they're not falling apart. Since I'm fairly new at this whole thing maybe I will check out the conditions a little bit closer. Thanks!

Well, some of my questions were answered. I have a fair amount of ex-library books and several people have questioned these.

Another rule of thumb: Since credits cost $3.45 if you buy them at the kiosk, some members start by asking "Would I pay $3.45 for this book?" and go from there. But all the book needs is to meet the basic PBS posting guidelines.

If someone wants better than that, you'll see a special Requestor Condition when the book order is placed with you. Then you can see if your book meets the additional criteria stated. If it does, you'll accept the order. If not, you can decline and keep your place in line.

ETA: Ex-library books are OK to post here, as long as they meet the other guidelines regarding water damage, writing, binding condition, etc. If someone doesn't want ex-library books, it should be stated in the requestor's conditions.

In all my orders, I've not had a single "No ex-library books" request. That's about 65 books, I think.
