Ok, I have 2 books that were requested from me recently that I can not find physically in my home--I only have one place I keep books to be sent out to PBS which is not accessed by other family members but on a rare occasion. One I bought new and  read in  MAY 2010, the other has no history of ever being rec'd nor read by me at all.  (I rarely buy books anymore since moving to FL in AUG 2010. Thanks to pbs my TBR is over 200! )

So thought I'd do a search in transaction archive in case I had actually already mailed these out and there was possibly a glitch somehow.

So I switched the "search" parameters to date requested. The top  of the list is filled with books with "failed" transactions, but in individually opening the "request details" for some of these, I see no accurate details!  The very first book I ever sent out that went lost (it was going to a city only 2 hours away and was a real crime book that made a big impression so I remember it vividly) simply shows that request was "cancelled" a few days after being ordered, no mail date, no "lost in mail" listing but that is what actually happened. Many of these are simply listing "request cancelled"  a few days after being ordered when I KNOW many of them were books that were "lost in mail" or RWAPs.  IF they had truly been cancelled FIFO requests, there should have also been new requests made within days of these supposed "cancelled requests".

I am at a complete loss as to how so many transactions could now show wrong details !   Has anyone else noticed a glitch like this?

Editted to add:   And none of them show requests cancelled due to not meeting my "no smoking" RC which would account for quite a few cancellations, but not 4-7 days after a request was "accepted".

Books requested that were declined because of your RCs will never show in the TA.  Only accepted requests that were subsequently canceled by either the requester or the sender.

Thanks Mary for the info on RC rejection.  So I guess this is showing that lots of book reuests roll over to other posters due to inactive accounts.

Or now, there is the "Not Now" button on wish list books.  I think that would show up as a canceled order.

But RC books are blind offers.  The only info we have on them is the email from PBS, without the wisher's name.  This is to help make the RC decline be a safe guilt free experience.  No one can PM you to gripe.  But that also means that no one can PM you to say that's okay, send it.

I had forgotten about that Emily.  I have only used the "not now" button once since they added it as I have a ton of excess credits so no reason to delay getting WL books.
