The conquest was a middle evil approach with a tom-boy princess. It was excellent... and if anyone can get me a copy of "The Taming" I would absolutely die!

Jude Deveraux does a great job of taking you somewhere else as she always does. This kept me turning pages. I think I read it in maybe two sittings.

I've read this book three times and I have to say I don't get tired of it. In my opinion JD's earlier books are her best. Zared is such a wonderful and fresh heroine in the book, and when she finds love it just gets better.

I do love these historical romance novels. I love feeling like I'm in another place in time. However this wasn't my favorite but was an easy fantasy to read. It did take me a bit to get into the characters. A story of power and greed.

I have a different cover of the book, it is purple with a castle. I never read the book, not into this kind of book, it was given to me for paperbackswap by my mother.
