I'm not sure but I figure chick-lit/mystery. I've only read the first one and there was romance but seems like that wasn't the main focus of the book. I listened to it on audio and it was pretty funny in places. I actually found the 'romance' annoying at times!

Chick-lit isn't usually a category given in databasis probably cause a lot of "chick-lit" fits more than one category-many of them can also be romance, mystery and humor.

I haven't read the Dixie Cash series, but know enough about to say it's probably a blend of genres, like many other books these days.  Cozy mystery, chick-lit (which is a sub-genre of literature and fiction) and maybe romance.
