After several hundred pages, I realized I didn't care what happened to the characters, or how the story ended. I stopped reading.

I was glad I read the book long before I saw the movie. In my opinion this book is 100 times better than the movie. John le Carre has always been one of my favorite author of thrillers. This one should be required reading on Civics Classes in this country.
started alow but once i gave it a chance it caught my attention and kept it.
One of le Carre's best. The political conflict, the well drawn characters, the intrigue held me captive till late hours. See the movie, but read the book, too!
This was a really good book. It's not something that you can get through quickly - it's pretty involved.
