Toni home permanents given by an Italian family friend and the Italian recipes to go with it. Get well food, when we got to stay home from school and get spoiled. Thanksgiving, summers at the beach and lathering up with baby oil to get more tan (hard to believe now). Skating on the pond in winter and potatoes over the fire.
This cookbook/memoire leads you through Lora Brody's growing up years, the early marriage years and the births of her children and all the wonderful foods that made these times special.
