When adding to a thread such as:  'I have the only copy of...', I always assumed that copying a title from my bookshelf, then pasting it onto my reply made it a direct link to my bookshelf.  You know how it shows up in blue?  Like this:  The Antelope Wife :: Louise Erdrich

But I see that in one thread, a poster has a disclaimer that the titles she has listed are NOT links to her bookshelf.

Does anyone know if the blue titles do lead one directly to a specific bookshelf and not just to the FIFO?

They lead to the book listing or author listing in the PBS database.  They do not link directly to your bookshelf.

However, if you have the only copy and link to the PBS listing and someone clicks that and then orders the book from there, the request will go to you since you have the only copy in the FIFO system anyway.

I guess it's not really a very good idea to list books that way, then.  It's too easy for someone to just click on that title and order from anyone who happens to have the book, when I would really want them to order from me since I took the time to post a reply.

that is true unless you are posting in the "I have the only copy of...." because then it really doesn't matter because if you have the only copy then it will go to you.
