This classic brought back sweet memories of my own childhood. I'm so glad to be able to read it to my children now. My boys love searching the pictures along with Corduroy as he searches for his button. This book is very engaging for my children. I love that the little girl uses her own money to buy Corduroy in the end. It briefly illustrates the rewards of saving and earning to small children. And that she sews a button on Corduroy in the last pages illustrates caring for what we have worked hard to gain. Love the book!

Family favorite. A teddy bear passed up on the shelf because of a flaw (a missing button). The girl comes back and buy the bear the next day and mends him. Happily ever after :-)
