Went to buy some PBS money and thought I'd finally buy one of the totes as long as I was "shopping."  The tote is $14.99 but in my cart it showed shipping as $9.30!!!  Can that be right??  That's almost as much as the tote itself!

They use Priority Mail to ship from the Kiosk. Whenever I shop the Kiosk I make sure to buy more than one item, sometimes lost of items and it is still the same rate. There is an explanation here:

It's not just Priority. They use exclusively Priority Flat Rate. It's anything that you can shove into a box for $9.30. The price has gone up since that page was put out there. The $9.30 is the exact price of a standard USPS flat rate priority box where the postage was bought online.

When you're buying heavier items, flat rate is the way to go. However, it does make buying only a single lighter item more expensive. I don't think the kiosk is sophisticated enough to give you different options based on weight and distance, but you could ask.

I originally had the tote and a book cover in my cart and the shipping was close to $12 for that.....can both of those not be shoved in one box?
