This book was a fun read to a point, then it made me squirm . The plot twists were very bizarre and by the end of the book, I couldn't figure out what happened.

Sounds like its up the line of "Puddinhead Wilson". There really is a Eureka, Mississippi (northeast of Jackson).

Many adjectives could describe this novel, not the least of which are: imaginative, funny, twisted, strange. How in the world did a Brit get such a handle on southern mannerisms and vernacular? Be prepared for the fanciful--and be prepared for continual surprises. Might not be for everyone, but I sure enjoyed it!
